Terms of Service
1. Scope & operator
These terms govern your use of the Horizon website, your account, and the store at horizonfn.cc. By creating an account or making a contribution you accept them. We may update them; the version in force is the one published here at the time you use the service.
2. What Horizon is (and is not)
Horizon is an unofficial, non-commercial, community-run hobby project. It is not a shop for games, game content, or virtual currency, and it is not a licensed or authorised service. It is run by volunteers for a community of enthusiasts and may be modified, restricted, or shut down at any time, in whole or in part, without notice and without any claim to continuation.
3. Intellectual property: no rights claimed
Horizon claims no ownership of and no rights in Fortnite, its client, artwork, renders, item names, "V-Bucks", or any related names, logos or trademarks. All such rights belong exclusively to Epic Games, Inc. and their respective owners. Horizon is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored or authorised by Epic Games in any way. Any third-party names or imagery are used purely descriptively to identify the era the community project recreates. No licence, right or interest in any third-party intellectual property is granted to you or transferred by us through this service.
4. Voluntary support, not a purchase
Any payment ("supporter pack" or "Horizon Pass") is a voluntary contribution toward the running costs of the servers, backend, bandwidth and infrastructure. It is not the purchase of goods, virtual currency, intellectual property, a licence, or any transferable asset. As a thank-you, your community account may be credited with one-off, account-bound digital acknowledgements (in-game credit and cosmetic items) that have no independent, monetary or market value and cannot be traded, sold, exchanged, cashed out or transferred. You acquire no ownership of, and no rights in, any such item or asset. Contributions do not create any entitlement to availability, performance, updates, or future access.
5. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to make a contribution, or have the consent of a parent or legal guardian. By contributing you confirm this.
6. Prices & VAT
Prices are shown net; the statutory VAT for your country of residence is added and shown in the cart total before you pay. For consumers in other EU countries VAT is charged under the EU One-Stop-Shop (OSS) scheme. You pay the total shown at checkout.
7. Payment
Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. Digital acknowledgements are credited to your account once payment is confirmed, usually instantly.
8. Right of withdrawal & refunds
Supporter packs and Pass benefits are digital content delivered immediately. Before payment you must expressly consent to delivery starting at once and acknowledge that you thereby lose your statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (§ 356 (5) BGB). Once delivery has begun on that basis, contributions are final and non-refundable. This does not affect your mandatory statutory rights if content is defective or was never delivered. See Right of Withdrawal for details.
9. No warranty; availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty of uninterrupted operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or continued existence. We do not guarantee that the service, your account, or any credited item will remain available. Statutory warranty rights for paid digital content (§§ 327 ff. BGB) remain unaffected.
10. Limitation of liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. For simple negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential contractual obligation, and then limited to the foreseeable, typical damage. Any further liability is excluded to the extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability (including under the Product Liability Act) remains unaffected.
11. Conduct & suspension
Cheating, fraud, chargeback abuse, harassment, or other misuse may lead to suspension or deletion of the account without refund of any contribution.
12. Governing law & severability
German law applies; mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected. Should any provision be or become invalid, the remainder stays in force.
