Privacy Policy
1. Controller
Horizon, Lindenstraße 12, 10969 Berlin, Germany, email support@horizonfn.cc.
2. What we process
Account data (username, email address, hashed password), server logs (IP address, timestamps), order and invoice data and, for purchases, the payment data processed by our payment service provider Mollie. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
When you start the game through the Horizon launcher, we record that game session (account, start and end time, IP address, launcher version) and receive a description of the PC it runs on: the launcher reads hardware identifiers (such as serial numbers of the mainboard, drives, network cards and memory modules, the public key of the security chip (TPM), identifiers of the Windows installation, and the processor and graphics card model), turns each into a one-way hash on your PC and sends only those hashes. We never receive the serial numbers themselves. We use the hashes for one purpose: to recognise a PC that an account banned for cheating or abuse has played on, so that a ban cannot be evaded with a new account.
3. Legal bases
Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR (performance of the account and purchase contract), (c) (statutory retention of tax records), and (f) (legitimate interest in the security and abuse-prevention of the service).
4. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies only: an HttpOnly session cookie (to keep you logged in) and a CSRF cookie (to protect against cross-site request forgery). No tracking or analytics cookies.
5. Payment processing
Payments are processed by Mollie B.V. (Netherlands) as an independent controller; their privacy policy applies to the payment transaction. We receive only the data needed to fulfil and book the order.
6. Retention
Invoice and accounting records are retained as required by §§ 147 AO / 257 HGB (generally 10 years). Game sessions and the hardware hashes of a PC are kept for as long as the account exists and are deleted together with it. Other data is deleted when no longer required.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection (Art. 15–21 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit). To exercise any right, contact us at support@horizonfn.cc.
